Captain Jim from my pirate story called 8th Ocean. I've wanted to draw her with lions for a month now, started to draw for couple of times but there's always been something that made me unhappy with the drawing. Or then I just didn't finish them.
Today I started to draw this at school because I was bored and waiting for a massage I never got. The sketch was quickly done and I was actually HAPPY with it! So I inked it and when I came home I scanned it and finally coloured it. I even planned the colours when I was walking home. And yes, I'm happy with it. I'm happy because I actually uploaded something that I had drawn at the same day I uploaded it.
Anyway. As I said, I wanted to draw her with lions. Jim is a character that isn't easy to get to know, since her character is withholding. When the lions popped to my head with Jim, I knew it had to mean something (I usually get some more details about my characters as time passes. I don't know everything about them right away they lay their foot to my imagination). The tattoo on her left shoulder is a polynesian lion tribal tattoo, I used a reference: [link] Lions are Jim's spirit animals and they mean strength, pride, victory and power to her.
And white lions? They just kick ass. And ~carmine-voleme was sitting and drawing next to me when I was drawing this. White lions remind me of her and she herself is like a white lion. SO INFLUENSEESSSSS
